A business may accept credit cards using any of five methods:
(a) At your business location using a credit card terminal,
(b) At your business location using payment processing computer software,
(c) At any location using the web via a virtual terminal login ID and password,
(d) At any location using a wireless terminal and printer and a wireless gateway,
(e) At any location using Dial Pay where you dial an 800#.
Credit card terminals are electronic draft capture devices capable of processing payments. Although there are many different brands advertising many different features, there are no major differences among them; they all essentially do the same thing.
First Bancard sells/leases terminals other than the ones listed below and is able to program or re-program any terminal on the market today.

Virtual Terminal -
For merchants who sell goods over the Internet (internet retailers) or for any business that sells goods or services but are not face-to-face with their customers to swipe their credit cards, your best option may be the use of a virtual terminal (a terminal in cyberspace you log into and charge credit cards). Our primary partner is Authorize.net.

If you are an internet retailer, you will also need Authorize.net; however, you won't be primarily using it as a virtual terminal. Instead, Authorize.net acts as an "internet gateway." An internet gateway is a payment gateway that is needed to route credit card transactions. This gateway gets integrated into the HTML of your website by an experienced e-commerce web developer.
Wireless Terminals -
Previously, wireless technology had been prohibitively expensive to pursue as an option to accept credit cards. However, WAY Systems has produced an all-inclusive solution to fit the needs of those wishing to accept credit cards on a wireless terminal. With this solution, merchants have the ability to electronically authorize and charge a credit card at the point of sale, and the customer signs the sales draft and receives a receipt via the included wireless printer.
The primary advantages to being able to electronically authorize your transactions instead of keying them in is twofold: (1) your business will save money because the rate you are paying for a "swiped" transaction is much less than the rate you are paying for a "keyed in" transaction, and (2) when you have a customer sign the sales draft then that is the best evidence in arbitration in the case of chargebacks, meaning you will win! The rule generally is: if you don't have a signature, you don't have a leg to stand on.
If you are a business looking to accept credit cards wirelessly, there now exists an affordable solution to fit your needs.
